11.15 .. There’s a knock at the front door .. It’s the man from Staines CID to chat about Wednesday evening’s happenings ..

12.18 .. Man from CID goes ..

More to come ...

Day 2638. Tuesday 28th February 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

09.12 .. I’m in the office ..

12.35 .. Lunch .. PAB ..

15.25 .. I’m in Studio 3 .. with the Oban 6300 compressor to have an initial play .. this will make our DAB service sound so much better.

17.35 .. I head for home .. haven’t got far when the TomTom offers me an alternative route to the 28 minute delay .. I accept .. it takes me off through Fulmer, Wexham, Slough, Windsor and Sunninghill ..

18.58 .. I’m home .. phew.

More to come ...

Day 2639. Wednesday 29th February 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

08.10 .. Up and at it ..

10.05 .. I’m ready for the rest of the day ..

11.52 .. I’m on the road, heading for the “Aldershot Centre for Health” .. in Violet.

12.21 .. I’m outside .. just got to park, get in the place and find the CT scanner. As I park a nice man offers me a part used car park ticket valid till 13.10 .. that’ll do nicely. Being this place is with int the perimeter of Aldershot Garrison, it’s not surprising to see a lot of military folk.

12.29 .. I’ve finally found the CT scanner department.

12.45 .. 15 minutes late, I’m called in ..

Great .. they haven’t got the contrast injection required to do the scan as requested by the Dr at Farnham .. they only have Iodine that they can’t use on me cause of my allergy .. but the operator going to do another sort of scan instead .. what a waste of time.

I think this “facility” is privately owned, even if the oriental operator is wearing a Frimley Park NHS name tag .. if this is what the Tories think the NHS should be like in the future .. God help us .. cause clearly the NHS probably won’t on this showing.

13.02 .. I’m back in the car .. set the TomTom for work ..

13.55 .. I’m in the car park at work ..

17.45 .. I head for home ..

18.38 .. I’m home ..

19.20 .. Dinner .. soup with two slices of bread and a bowl of soup .. dessert starts with a yoghurt and ends with the remains of Waitrose Stem Ginger and chocolate ice cream ..

More to come ...

Day 2640 - Week 378 - Thursday 1st March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

08.57 .. I’m in the car park .. so much for the fog ..

13.10 .. I leave the office heading for Sainsbury’s in Beaconsfield ..

13.25 .. I’m inside Sainsbury’s .. I head for the Olay Shower Gel, but get waylaid by the cosmetics counter for a new Mabelline mascara and a CD. After some searching I find what I want .. and stocks are low .. Olay Body “complete ultra moisture body wash” .. with shae butter ( the GOLD label one ) .. and Olay Body “age protect moisture body wash” .. with intense moisture complex ( the PURPLE label one ). I grab all 10 of the GOLD label one and take 4 of the PURPLE.

14.02 .. I’m back in the office ..

15.00 .. Tom and I head off for the company doctors in Stoke Poges ..

15.25 .. We are in Dr Cheese’s waiting room, gosh what a change to a year ago when this place was a building site ..

15.36 .. Dr Cheese calls me in .. starts off with a chat about my health, and I mention my issues of the last three months. This leads to quite a long conversation .. he’s really astonished that nobodies asked for an ultra scan of my legs .. he notices my left foot is still quite swollen. After 25 minutes I have had my jabs and go sit in the waiting room .. while Tom gets his. Tom doesn’t take so long but he’s discussed his back issues with the Dr.

16.18 .. We head back to the office.

16.37 .. I’m back in the office ..

17.35 .. I head for home .. A stop at the Esso garage .. damn .. the free Cinema ticket offer is over .. time to count up.

18.36 .. I’m home .. no Karen ..
More to come ...

Day 2641. Friday 2nd March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

On my way home tonight, as I approached J15 on the M25 I became away of a car close up behind me .. it was a dark coloured BMW. It was that close, and my Jazz has all 3 headrests, I had to sit right up to see the number, and work it out backwards .. YH56 A*Z .. it suddenly veered off into the outside lane hidden by two lanes of traffic. I realised that's the bulk of the reg number of the car I was involved with 9 days ago ..

I'm 99% sure it was him, though I couldn't see past the glare and windscreen reflections to ID the driver. I'm at a loss as to what to do, am I paranoid ..

19.51 .. I’m back with the food ..

20.25 .. I open my fortune cookies .. “YOU WILL OVERCOME SOME OBSTACLES AND ACHIEVE SUCCESS” followed by “PEOPLE WILL BE LISTENING TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY” .. hmmmm .. Success .. depending on some peoples point of view I might be there already .. more would be nice. As to people listening to me .. well they might listen, not sure it’ll get me anywhere, though a few things have proven correct recently .. LOL !!!

More to come ...

Day 2642. Saturday 3rd March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

07.10 .. The Alarm ..

07.32 .. Up and at it .. do we have to .. I head for the bathroom.

08.12 .. It’s the Saturday morning weigh in .. 14st 11lb .. starting to think these scales are iffy ..

08.15 .. I’m in the bedroom, what shall I wear ..

News from the home .. Claire’s had one “incident” this morning but is up for coming home .. just  hope this isn’t a bad omen.

09.36 .. We are on the road ..

09.59 .. We join the M25 ..

10.27 .. We join the M1 ..

11.13 .. WE arrive at Northampton Services .. Claire is waiting ..

Phew .. Claire seems happy to see us ..

11.16 .. Back on the road .. Karen gives Claire a bag of crisps .. it’s part of our ritual .. Claire chooses to burst it open resulting on a shower of crisps .. this at least makes her laugh ..

11.41 .. We stop at Toddington Services .. Karen gets out to get lunch ..

11.56 .. Back on the road .. Claire is rowdily happy ..

12.21 .. We rejoin a lovely sunny M25 .. Karen’s in Mrs Schumacher mode when I ask how’s the petrol as we roar down to J16 .. “oh the light is on” .. I ask how long for, “I don’t know” .. what’s the gauge slowing? .. “just above the zero mark”. I suggest she slows right down so we can make the Shell Garage in Egham ..

12.40 .. We leave the M25 at J13 ..

12.45 .. We’ve made it to the Shell Garage in Egham, Karen has to back into a pump to get one on the right side .. the car takes 39 litres .. I have to check the book .. this one takes 43 litres allegedly .. assuming you can suck it all out.

12.53 .. We head for home ..

13.06 .. We are finally home ..

More to come ...

Day 2643. Sunday 4th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

Claire gives us a bit of a rough ride during the night, Karen does most of the up and downs till 07.00 when I take over ..

07.02 .. I get up to Claire .. it’ll be another 3 times before Karen calls it as time to get up ..

08.01 .. Karen gets up to take Claire down for her meds .. I catch up on the TV news for a few moments ..

08.18 .. Up and at it ..

10.45 .. Karen’s out of the bathroom .. so I head up for a shower and wash my hair ..

11.25 .. I’m back down stairs ..

11.59 .. I open Skype on the PC .. and a message from Dawn in Chonburi pops up .. we start to chat ..

12.15 .. My mobile rings .. it’s Staines CID

12.19 .. The police officer says goodbye and I resume my chat with Dawn ..

12.28 .. Lunch is served ..it’s a brb to Dawn .. lunch is a ham roll, with crisps and a dip .. followed by some flap jack .. all washed down with Apple & Pear juice .. lovely.

12.58 .. I say good bye to Dawn .. we’ve got to get ready to go ..

13.16 .. We’re on the road, heading for Waitrose on route to Northampton to return Claire ..

13.25 .. Karen parks up outside Waitrose .. I nip out and do what’s on the two lists .. one list is for Claire.

14.01 .. I walk out of Waitrose into .. snow !!

14.13 .. We join the M25, wet, horrible and quite busy ..

14.15 .. I resume my chat with Dawn ..

14.57 .. I end my chat with Dawn .. her purple pill is taking effect.

Claire, despite hardly sleeping last night, Claire remains bright and cheerful .. munching her way through our pack of Polo’s ..

14.28 .. We are at Northampton services .. well early ..

14.45 .. The homes vehicle arrives, we transfer Claire in the rain ..

14.53 .. The TomTom has spotted the accident we passed about 3 miles south of the services .. and suggests the other route via Oxford will be quicker .. so be it. Mrs Schumacher makes a dash for home ..

16.45 .. As we get to the top of the hill on the M40 at High Wycombe .. the earlier snow is still in patches on the hard shoulder ..

17.16 .. We leave the M25 .. Karen grins as I cling on too the laptop to stop it ending in her lap .. DOH !!!!

17.34 .. We are home ..

More to come ...

Day 2644. Monday 5th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

From my Facebook page ..

Well nothing heard from CID today, I'm not surprised to be honest.

I did order a couple of those camera's to mount in two of our cars, but realised after chatting to my colleagues I may have bought memory cards that are a little conservative, ( as in tight, cheap skate, inadequate vision in capacity ) .. so have ordered a couple of bigger ones.

In the mean time I modified the phone mount I'd bought for the Samsung phone today, and mounted the base on the nearside rear window with phone camera pointing out of rear window. 50 minute trip home, full HD mode was quite revealing tonight, just under 4gb of card space used and only 25% of the battery. Today’s lesson .. clean the rear window completely .. so I have.

I'm posting a grab ..

More to come ...

Day 2645. Tuesday 6th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

From my Facebook page ..

08.45 .. A call from Staines CID, apologising for not coming back to me earlier. They confirmed they hadn't talked to the BMW driver yet.

They are going to try and arrest the BMW driver later today at his home. Apparently if he's not at home they will leave a calling card demanding his presence at a police station, if he then fails to surrender himself they will go and wait for him in a few days.

Hopefully, justice will be done.

More experiments with hanging my Samsung Galaxy inside the car taking video’s out of the back ..

More to come ...

Day 2646. Wednesday 7th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

19.30 .. on the dot .. there’s at knock on the front door.

I had a meeting with the Head of Diversity Directorate from Surrey Police tonight. He came to tell me all about the Surrey Police IAG, what they do at their bi monthly meetings and the responsibilities of being involved. He was here for less than half an hour and has left me with some documents and a 1st stage application form.

All I have to decide now is if I want to do this. They haven't had a trans rep on their group for 18 months, and the group from what he told me and what the documentation he left me says they should have, has only about 60% of their desired membership.

The big question, apart from them learning of my recent experiences, what can I bring to them. They also want to know what I would expect to get from them by taking part.

More to come ..

Day 2647 - Week 379 - Thursday 8th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

From my Facebook page ..

20.15 .. is de-stressing with a 100g bar of Lindt Excellence 90% cocoa darkest chocolate .. ker pow .. this is hard hitting chocolate .. yummy yummy .. I guess I should save some for tomorrow .. or should I go get another bar from Waitrose .. did I say it's about 25% off at the moment .. LOL.

More to come ...

Day 2648. Friday 9th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

More to come ...

Day 2649. Saturday 10th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

It’s the Saturday morning weigh in .. 14st 11 1/4 lb ...

12.15 .. The police call .. the BMW driver has surrendered himself. He has in part admitted using unsuitable language towards me. The police don’t think they can go much better, his work against mine in court would not get support from CPS.

They want to offer him a £80 fine and bound over for “Breach of the Peace”, and a criminal offence and mark on his record.

As far as the traffic division are concerned .. a complete waste of space. They aren’t even doing him for leaving a scene of an accident or failing to report .. he claims he didn’t know it was an offence. I never new ignorance of the law was a valid excuse .. I’ll remember that one just in case.

14.30 .. I head out to do Sparkles engine thermostat ..

Sparkle the Jazz now has a new engine thermostat. The Haines manual made it sound easy .. but I suspect it was doing an engine on a bench. I'll post some pics ..

I know I have a few friends who have Jazz Mk1's too .. just don't go there .. 3 3/4 hours to change a thermostat.

The heater now heats up very quickly from a cold start and idling .. time will tell if :
1: I've left a water leak ..
2: If that was indeed the cause of the criminal fuel consumption on cold days ..

18.15 .. I’m back in the kitchen, job done ..

More to come ...

Day 2650. Sunday 11th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

10.05 .. Up and at it ..

11.25 .. I’m in the bathroom ..

13.15 .. Hair dry .. I go back to bed and snuggle up to Karen ..

13.45 .. Lunch .. the same as yesterday ..

14.52 .. I head for Waitrose ..

At the check out I ask if I can have £10 of 20p’s for mother if I use a debit card and have cash back. The elderly lady on checkout says yes and asks what for .. I tell her they are for my mum and her tumble dryer .. she’s amused but eager to help.

She dives down into a drawer between the tills and gets some bags out, finds one of 20p’s .. it splits as she lifts it up and quite a few hit the floor .. am I embarrassed !! She laughs it off and finds another bag full .. I disappear rapidly << blushes >>.

16.05 .. Back in the car, I head for home ..

16.25 .. I head for my mothers ..

18.15 .. I head for home ..

More to come ...

Day 2651. Monday 12th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

09.10 .. I’m in work ..

12.00 .. ish .. The police called back again .. the BMW driver had surrendered himself. He has in part admitted using unsuitable language towards me. The police don't think they can go much better, his work against mine in court would not get support from CPS.

They want to offer him a £80 fine and bound over for "Breach of the Peace", and a criminal offence and mark on his record .. some punishment !!

As far as the traffic division are concerned .. a complete waste of space. They aren't even doing him for leaving a scene of an accident or failing to report .. he claims he didn't know it was an offence.

He claims he didn't know his car was damaged till the following morning, despite our obvious exchange of words, apparently I never told him about damage .. F'ing LIAR. The police woman says it's just down to the insurance companies now to settle.

I never new ignorance of the law was a valid excuse to get off things .. I'll remember that one just in case.

12.45 .. Lunch .. PAB.

15.00 .. NHS is wonderful. I've got an appointment this afternoon in Guildford at 16.20 .. it's an hour from leaving here and being in the car park .. so should leave at 15.10 - 15.15.

Given history over last 2 years of waiting 50 - 110 minutes for my appoints I've just called them .. they are an hour late already. Afternoon appointments start at 14.00 !!! An Hour late starting !!

Receptionist was quite off when I suggested delaying my arrival to compensate .. "maybe we'll have caught up by then !!" ( sound of flying pigs overhead ).

I'll leave 20 minutes late anyway .. she said OK ..

15.35 .. I drive off heading for Guildford .. via a quick stop at Denham to get a tank full of Esso.

16.35 .. I’m in the car park .. £2 for a ticket valid for 2 hours .. surely enough !!

16.40 .. Checked in for my 16.20 appointment 20 minutes late .. a compromise knowing that at 15.00 they were already 1 hour late. Was greeted by a really nice senior nurse who said "oh yes you called and said you'd come in later, you shouldn't have too long to wait, we've got 3 doctors on today."

17.38 .. I'm called in to see a "final year student doctor" .. yes he knows absolutely nothing .. takes a brief history and invites me to go back to the waiting room ..

17.48 .. Back in the waiting room ..

18.05 .. Called in by the senior woman to examine me "intimately" .. do I mind the male junior having a look see ? The first thing to draw her attention on the bed was my ankles and feet .. she moves on to the more important place .. that's a disaster when she replaces a very small perspex cone with a gloved finger, I feel a sting .. she draws blood !!

18.15 .. Redressed, I go to the consulting room. The letter written by Dr Suporn explaining the error she's made in my treatment is wrong .. what Dr Suporn says in writing can't be right !!. She's going to place me back in my GP's care and will see me again if I need her to investigate things again, and she's going to recommend that my 50mg patches every 2 days are replaced with 75mg patches every 3.5 days .. ho hum.

One interesting thing was a blood test result .. or non result. The lab had refused to test the sample and returned a note to the doctor "This test is unsuitable for a woman" .. so it needs to be repeated.

18.27 .. The nice old senior nurse leads me to a treatment room to take two philes of blood. She's really nice, very flattering and is interested in my swollen ankles too. As usual I've gone a bit pale .. so she's chatting about my job to take my mind off it. Eventually she sends me on my way ..

18.41 .. 2 hours 21 minutes after my allotted appointment time, I walk out of the main door .. and very glad the clampers aren’t that hot .. I’m 6 minutes over my 2 hours of time.

19.16 .. I'm home, rather dismayed and a little distressed.

19.28 .. Dinner .. two different types of risotto, chased down by a black cherry yoghurt ..

Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!

06.10 .. The alarm ..

From my Facebook today ..

Ferry's and hotel booked to be in France 5th - 8th April .. ST Vaast here we come .. bring it on !!! Cabin on overnight ferry out on 4th £105 .. ouch !!

Was really nice to have my voice recognised by the owner, who promptly asked if we wanted room 21 .. she knows us well !!!

More to come ..

Day 2654 - Week 380 - Thursday 15th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

I got an email at work drawing my attention to a really important survey .. about Equal civil marriage consultation from the Home Office.

This is so important to trans folk .. one very very important question is answered in the accompanying script. It states the intention is that for those of us who are married still, we’ll be able to get our GRC’s without divorcing first.

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/about-us/consultations/equal-civil-marriage/

This consultation is seeking views on proposals to lift the ban on same-sex marriage taking place through a civil ceremony.

More to come ...

Day 2655. Friday 16th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.10 .. The alarm ..

09.03 .. I’m in the office ..

15.40 .. I spot my TomTom on the office window sill behind me, traffic is building rapidly on the M25 .. I’d better go. I put the back up cake in the fridge, that will be OK in the fridge ..

15.45 .. I’m in the car heading for the doctors via home to collect Karen ..

16.20 .. I’m on a stationary M25 .. I’m getting worried ..

16.47 .. I’m home, phew.

16.55 .. I sign in at the doctors ..

16.58 .. The doctor calls me into his office ..

The doctor thinks my toe is getting better now on it’s own, despite the incredible pain he inflicts pulling and pushing it around. He does me a letter to take to hospital regarding my feet, possible blood clot etc, saying they’ll probably do nothing as they’d do a standard blood clot test first before doing any ultrasound check on my lower legs, ankles and feet .. so what is the point.

17.16 .. To Karen’s surprise, I’m back in the car ..

17.22 .. We are home .. a cup of tea and some malt loaf .. I’ve got a letter ..

Following my recent abuse thing that went to the Police, today I've received a letter from an organisation called "Victim Support", a charity.

Wasn't "victim support" originally a police job .. so is this what privatisation is doing ?

The Police have given my info to a third party, if I don't contact them within 6 weeks they will delete my information .. REALLY ???

I guess we have to take their word for that.

20.10 .. I’m in the Chinese .. it’s busy, expecting a long wait, I take a seat ..

20.26 .. I’m home with the food ..

20.50 .. I open my fortune cookies .. “YOU WILL BE PAID BACK FOR A GOOD DEED” followed by “YOU WILL OVERCOME SOME OBSTACLES AND ACHIEVE SUCCESS”  hmmmm .. Now which good deed was that then .. I’ll have to think hard to remember doing one probably .. The second fortune is a repeat of the first from two weeks ago .. maybe repeating it is what is needed to activate it .. LOL !!!

More to come ...

Day 2656. Saturday 17th March 2012.

Memory Joggers ...

06.54 .. Karen gets up for a comfort break .. I turn the TV on ..

07.05 .. Karen returns with Tea and pressies .. Happy Birthday to me ..

07.48 .. Up and at it ..

It’s the Saturday morning weigh in .. 14st 9 3/4lb .. I re-weigh three times to check .. amazing given yesterday’s cake fest at work and larger Chinese meal ..

08.35 .. I’m dressed and in the kitchen ..

10.15 .. We wave of Karen’s dad and sort our selves out .. I check Violet’s service indicator, 1050 miles left I need to do a quick nail repair ..

10.25 .. First attempt into the car fails ..

10.27 .. We are finally on the road ..

10.45 .. We join a wet and horribly busy M25 heading North ..

11.10 .. We join the M1 .. it’s moving well for a while ..

11.17 .. We join a jam at J11 .. lovely ..

13.08 .. We pull off the motorway into Donnington Services for lunch .. Birthday Luxury it’s not. A M&S Chicken sandwich, some chilli crisps, a chocolate dessert and share a box of sliced mango with Karen, a small bottle of Apple Juice washes it all down.

13.42 .. Back on the road to Claire ..

14.20 .. We are in with Claire ..

So nice to be wanted .. if only it was true .. being told and reminded continuously to go home .. yeah .. happy birthday.

16.38 .. We give up and head for home ..

17.55 .. We suddenly come to a halt on the M1,

17.57 .. An accident has just happened, a little Hyundi car has obviously hit the barriers and possibly rolled, and now stuck 90 degrees across lane one .. very bent, no glass left, it’s all over the road, but the driver seems to be out of the vehicle and on his phone .. that could have been a long delay ..

18.36 .. We join the M25 .. cause of the dense cloud it’s quite dark .. Sparkle’s low fuel light has just come on.

18.59 .. We leave the M25 in the rain ..

19.04 .. We stop at the Egham Shell garage .. it’s closed .. so turn round and head for the BP at the bottom of Egham Hill.

19.12 .. £30 of BP at 139.9 per ltre .. criminal .. I’ll fill Sparkle up at the Denham Esso next week .. heading for home.

19.26 .. We are home ..

19.50 .. We initially set out to Hamiltons in Sunningdale, without booking .. mistake ( we'll try again sometime ) and ended up at the Bel Vedere in Bagshot, a place Karen and I have been to a few times, and I've taken groups of ladies to at least twice ..

Karen and I had a great meal, and a superb meal, and I'm off to bed quite happy ( read merry ). A chap apologised for "being to amorous" on the next table as we left .. he'd caught Karen's eye ( knowingly ) several times, I replied "like wise" much to Karen's embarrassment and his amusement .. "get it on" he replied .. :-) .. << giggles >>.
